Some early FT-990 radios have a firmware rev level that does not allow full CAT operation.

Most FT-990 and some FT-1000D radios have a hardware error on the CAT circuit that requires a resistor be added to your TiniCAT for the CAT to function properly.

TiniCAT recommends you purchase a TiniCAT Pro for FT-990 and FT-1000D radios with these issues.

TiniCAT radios with special CAT connections.

The FT-757GX is Yaesu's first CAT radio and has a small flat three pin CAT connection. This radio allows control of the radio's functions only. Data can not be read from the radio. Many TiniCATs are sold for this radio despite this limitation as the radio can be used by many popular logging programs to auto QSY the rig from the DX cluster.

Please use drop down menu to specify radio model during purchase. This will specify CAT plug type.

FT-736 FT-736R

As listed above these radios will work just fine configured with the Standard DIN CAT plug. However the FT-736 radios have 13.5VDC configured in the CAT jack thus allowing TiniCATs to be built with no red RCA power plug.
